Director’s Statement
Praise / A Lone Man is a project that tackles ideas of self-harm and self-sabotaging thoughts. The haunting nature of this story is something that poured straight from my creative process and self-criticisms after finishing college. There is an unhealthy adoration of constant busyness and curated "success" online, making it harder and harder to cut the noise from my personal process. This is why I felt inclined to make a film that wrestles with these notions unconventionally.
